10,625 students to appear for SSLC exam

Yadgir: Deputy Commissioner Gurneet Tej Menon directed the officials of Public Instruction Department to take proper measures to ensure that SSLC examination will he held smoothly at the 37 examination centers across the district scheduled to begin from April 2.

Presiding over the SSLC examination preparatory meeting held in the meeting hall of Deputy Commissioner’s office in the city on Wednesday, she said, as many as 10,625 students will appear for the SSLC examination in the district. The seating arrangements and drinking water should be made available for each student without fail.

Of the 37 examination centers, 11 have been considered as sensitive centers. Police security has been beefed up at the sensitive examination centers.

Besides, prohibitory orders have been issued around the examination centers at the distance of 200-meter region. Internet center and photocopy centers should be closed down during the examination day. Student shouldn’t carry mobile, calculator etc inside the examination hall, she added.

Furnishing details about the examination centers in the district, Of the 37 examination centers, 15 are in Yadgir Taluk, 11 in Shahapur Taluk and 11 in Surpur Taluk.

Deputy Director of Public Instruction Department Basanna Mahanthgouda and All taluk Block Education Officers were present in the meet.
