Banks play crucial role in development

Yadgir: Superintendent of Police Roopa D. Moudgil has said that banks play a crucial role in the economic and industrial growth of a region.

She was speaking at the inauguration of a new Semi Urban branch of HDFC at Yadgir on Friday.

Roopa D. Moudgil Said banks should instill confidence in the farming community, small-scale industrialists and merchants, by extending timely help. She hoped that the new brach of HDFC Bank would take the lead in the regard.

Assisting people

HDFC Bank Head Navin Puri said that with the inauguration of the new branch, the number of branches in Karnataka had gone up to 138. It had around 2,201 branches across India, he said, and added that the bank had been assisting people from all sections of society.

ATM

HDFC Circle Head Joshi Paul said that an ATM facility would be provided at the new branch in another fortnight.

Branch Manager B.J.Raju, formar MLC Chanareddy Tunur, Zilla Panchayat Deputy Secretary B.V.Bhosle, Shivaraj Kulkarni and others were present.
